Fun prizes will be awarded to a variety of our costume contest participants. is program is put on in partnership with the Animal Care League. $5 of your registration fee goes to the Animal Care League. Each dog must be registered in order to attend. Pre-registration is suggested, however drop-ins are welcome. Come in costume! Prizes will be given out for the best custome! See what poisonous plants grow in the shadows of the Conservatory. Admission to Fright at Night is every half hour and very limited for a spooky social distancing walk through our greenhouses. Watch out for what may be lurking off the beaten path as we do a costume parade around the park. Decorate or carve a pumpkin; make your own monster; listen to Halloween stories around the fire and finish the evening with a magic show! Ages 3+ Res Fee $10 - Fee $13 Location: Austin Gardens Min 6/Max 50 Supervisor: Susan Crane Halloween Movie Day for Kids Sunday, Oct 25, 3:00-5:00P Join us at Cheney Mansion, the perfect setting for Halloween, where we will start out making fun masks for Halloween while creepy music plays to get in the "spirit" of things. en we will listen to ghost stories in the dim setting of late aernoon and finally turn out the lights, turn up the sound and play a creepy Halloween movie while safely distanced and enjoying individually packed snacks. Ages 4-8 Res Fee $10 - Fee $13 Location: Cheney Mansion Min 4/Max 13 Supervisor: Susan Crane Great Pumpkin Smash Saturday, November 7, 4:00-5:00P Don't know what to do with that old pumpkin? Why not take a turn and smash it down Barrie Sled Hill and enter your carved work of art in the mushiest and squishiest event of the season. Sign up for timeslots will be required in order to maintain a safe number of people gathering. Timeslots will be every 10 minutes. Saturday, Nov 21, 9:00A - 3:00P Turkeys have escaped into our Parks! Your job is to use the clues to match the Park and then "hunt" down the pictures of the escaped turkeys within that Park. Pick 1 park, 5 parks or if you are feelling like Elmer Fudd, all 23 of our parks. We have once again partnered with Courgageous Bakery who will bake a special cupcake for the event. Bring your completed form(s) to Courageous Bakery and Cafe (736 Lake Street) to receive your special cupcake and Park District prizes, while supplies last! Let's get huntin!
