Junior Lifeguards must be able to swim 50 yards using freestyle or breaststroke, surface dive and retrieve a 10-pound brick from a depth of 5 feet, and swim underwater for 10 feet. is class is offered evenings only at Ridgeland Pool. Supervisor: Stacey McNamara Jr. Lifeguards Part 3 (Ages 11-14) is class is only for students who completed the Virtual Jr. Lifeguard classes Part 1 & Part 2 during the Summer 2020 or Spring 2021. Students will review skills learned during the online classes and put the skills into practice in the water. Junior Lifeguards will also complete lifeguard shadow shis. is class is offered Saturday mornings only at Rehm Pool. Supervisor: Stacey McNamara Water Polo is brand new class covers the rules and strategy of U.S.A. Water Polo. Swimmers must have passed JES Adv. Beginner (Pre Summer 2020) or passed Stroke School White to be eligible. is class is taught in deep water, swimmers must be able to tread water for extended periods of time. is class is offered mornings only at Rehm Pool. Supervisor: Stacey McNamara SESSION DATES & DAYS Monday-ursday Classes 8 classes (Friday weather make-up day) Session 1 Jun 14 - Jun 24 Session 2 Jun 28 - Jul 8 Session 3 Jul 12 - Jul 22 Session 4 Jul 26 - Aug 5 Session 5 Aug 9 - Aug 19 Saturday Classes 5 classes (No class July 3, No make-up classes) Session 1 Jun 12 - Jul 17 Session 2 Jul 24 - Aug 21 Based on state and local Covid guidance, new pool restrictions will be in place this summer. So, here are a few things to help you plan your pool time. Swim sessions will open for pre-registration 72 hours before each session. Limit of one session per day. • 50-minute lap swim and 90-minute general swim sessions will be available daily! • Special passholder-only swim sessions will be available daily. • Pre-register online every visitor in your party for a swim session. (Customer service is available via phone or in-person, if needed.) • Complete a health screener the day of your reservation. • Kindly cancel at least 24 hours ahead if you cannot make your session to open your spot to others.
