Research shows that physical activity is one of the most important contributors to fitness and health. The more parks in a community, the more people exercise. People who live closer to parks exercise more and people who regularly use parks get more exercise than people who don't. PDOP Tip: The PDOP offers over 50 fitness classes weekly and an outdoor fitness program during the summer months. See pages 8-10 for more details.
