All participants will learn cool new strategies at the appropriate level from a renowned Chess Scholars coach. Each class will consist of a fun interactive teaching period and guided practice time. Children will have an opportunity to test for a Chess Belt under a unique Chess Scholars system patterned aer martial arts belts. ere will also be a chess competition with prizes! Each camper will take home a chess set and an award. Please bring your own snacks. Min 6/Max 20 Ceramics Winter Break Camp Supervisor: Megan Ulczak Get out of the house during winter break and have fun in the studio. During this half-day camp, participants will get to try wheel-throwing, as well as experiment with coils and slabs. Never used a potter's wheel? is is the perfect time to try! Registration covers material costs. Spots are limited. Min 4/Max 10 Jedi Engineering with LEGO Supervisor: Megan Ulczak e Force Awakens in this introductory engineering course for young Jedi! Explore engineering principles by designing and building projects using LEGO® materials such as X-Wings, R2 Units, Energy Catapults, Defense Turrets, and Settlements from a galaxy far, far away. Create motorized and architectural projects with imagination and engineering to defeat the Empire! Min 11/Max 24 Jedi Master Engineering with LEGO Supervisor: Megan Ulczak e Force Awakens in this advanced engineering course for young Jedi! Discover key engineering concepts such as gear trains, worm drives, pneumatics, and eccentric motion. Build projects using LEGO® materials such as X-Wings, AT- AT walkers, Pod Racers, Star Destroyers, Cloud Cities, Settlements, Fortresses, and other complex machines and structures from a galaxy far, far away. Min 11/Max 24 Play Smart Winter Break Supervisor: Leah Pryor Do you love art, science and cooking? en what better way to spend your winter break than combining all three to play smart. Keep your brain active by spending the day making beautiful masterpieces, conducting awesome science experiments, and preparing and cooking some delicious treats! Regular care is offered from 8:00A-3:00P and extended care is offered from 8:00A-6:00P. Min 6/Max 8 Circus Winter Break Supervisor: Laura Greeley is camp is designed for students to try their hand at Circus arts. is is an introduction to the art with a small showcase display of what we've learned for parents on the last day. You will learn basic tricks and stunts straight from the circus. Trapeze and aerial skills will be taught. is is a unique opportunity and a great way to improve strength and coordination.
