Counselor-In-Training (CIT)
Program
is program is for teens that are ready to
take on a leadership role and care for children
in a camp setting. With staff guidance and
encouragement, CIT's will work with campers,
lead games and cras, and assist on field trips.
Besides helping campers in your community,
being a CIT is a great experience for young re-
sumes. With two sessions of pre-camp training
and two-week session options throughout the
summer, your teen is sure to find a leadership
opportunity that fits their schedule.
CIT Training
Participation in leadership training is required
prior to the CIT's first day at the program. Teens
should register for training using activity code
229021-01 if starting the CIT program during
the first four weeks of the summer, and using
activity code 229021-02 if starting during the
final 6 weeks of the summer. Fees are $193/213
for the training session.
Schedule
Once a CIT has completed the Leadership train-
ing they are able to participate in as many Sum-
mer CIT sessions as they want. Use the chart
below to choose your camp(s). Once trained, a
CIT will follow their camp's schedule which may
vary from camp to camp. e CIT coordinator
will visit all CITs during their sessions to observe
them.
