Polar Bear Hockey League
Supervisor: Kayla Fauria
e Polar Bear Hockey League or PBHL has been
revised to provide an opportunity for our hockey
players to actually play the game. ese cross-ice
games will feature roughly 15 minutes of game
overview followed by 45 minutes of play (three
12-minute periods).
e Park District of Oak Park program believes that
one weekly lesson is not enough to become a better
a hockey player and must be complemented by
more practice, ice time, and play. As such, signing
up for a hockey lesson for the instruction should be
complemented by PBHL game play where players
can learn to apply their skills. e PBHL is also an
excellent league for those players wishing to get a
feel for the game aspect before beginning a travel
program, but also enough for those not wishing to
travel.
