All participants should bring their own racquet. Youth Tennis classes do not meet: 5/11 Pee Wee Tennis (Ages 4-5) Pee Wee includes instruction on gripping the racquet, proper tennis swing, ball control and movement on the tennis court. Min 6/Max 20 Jr. Youth Tennis (Ages 6-9) Jr. Youth Tennis includes instruction on basic skills and also focuses on forehand, backhand and the volley. Min 6/Max 20 Youth Tennis (Ages 10-13) Youth Tennis is designed to provide further instruction on forehand and backhand swings, volley tennis drills and positioning on the court. Min 6/Max 20 Semi-Private Tennis Lessons Supervisor: Dan Schaffer Semi-Private Lessons are designed for young participants who are looking to expand their tennis skills and fundamentals. ese lessons have a maximum of 4 participants which provides a more detailed structure. Participants will lean more complex techniques, ball striking skills, and strategies for success in tennis. Min 2/Max 4 Fencing - Beginning & Continuing Supervisor: Chad Drue En garde! Diana Unger, a certified coach with the United States Fencing Association with more than 25 years of fencing experience, will teach you the basics of fencing. Fencing requires patience, concentration, discipline, and self- awareness. Self-confidence, self-control, and emotional strength gained from this sport will lead to a healthier lifestyle. Weapons, jackets, and masks will be provided and shared among classmates. Participants must obtain a $10 U.S. Fencing Membership prior to the first day of class. Participants need to bring a glove for the hand they write with, it does not have to be a fencing glove. A light winter glove, work or gardening glove will do. Min 4/Max 10 Youth Boxing Supervisor: Dan Schaffer In a fun and safe environment, students will learn self-defense utilizing boxing techniques. Students learn how to punch, block and use boxing combinations depending on skill level achieved. Students become more physically fit and learn whole body coordination. Participants must bring their own gloves. Min 8/Max 16 Class does not meet: 5/27 Youth Ninja Warrior Training Supervisor: Dan Schaffer Working off an integrated curriculum/structure, this class is appropriate for the beginner and advanced participant. It is all about progression in each obstacle and each individual putting themselves to the test week aer week. Class will include some of our more beginner, intermediate and also some of our most challenging obstacles aimed at building both strength, balance and agility. Class will typically include 3 circuits with 5-8 stations (obstacles) per circuit. Each 55-minute class is based on a continually evolving lesson plan and set of obstacles and circuits aimed at providing a foundation of strength, agility, and balance. e classes will be structured and very active. You will not stop moving and leave both challenged and proud! Our mission is to strive to have all achieve and be fulfilled and grow in perseverance, athleticism and confidence. Class takes place at Windy City Ninja in Elmhurst 684 W. Lake Street, Elmhurst, IL 60126. Min 8/Max 16
