Supervisor: Barb Grooms
Join friends, old and new, as we enjoy the summer
sun. Each day has a different science theme
allowing children the opportunity to use their
five senses to discover and explore the wonders of
science OUTSIDE. ese play days are a great place
to meet new kids in the area, just like you!
One Day: Locomotion
Your child will explore the mechanics of movement
as we investigate how things get from one place
to another. We will be movement detectives as we
gather data from our environment to discover how
things move and experiment with how to make
them move fast!
One Day: At the Beach
Water and sand... how do they feel? What happens
when we make mixtures with them? How about
solutions? Your child will be good and messy aer
this sense-ational day at the "beach". Be sure to wear
your swimsuit and sunscreen. Plus, bring a towel!
One Day: Temperatures Rising
Summer days can sure be hot! Why? Your child
will enjoy getting hot and keeping ice cold as they
become temperature detectives. What causes
changes in temperature? What is effected by
temperature change? Be sure to wear your swimsuit
and sunscreen, plus bring a towel! Water will
definitely be part of this science play day!
