For more details, contact: Bryce Miller, Ice Arena Supervisor: bryce.miller@pdop.org John Walsh, Hockey Coordinator: john.walsh@pdop.org Specialty Hockey-Youth Polar Bear Hockey League (PBHL) Ages 5-14 Supervisor: Bryce Miller e Polar Bear Hockey League or PBHL has been revised to provide an opportunity for our hockey players to actually play the game. ese cross ice games will feature roughly 15 minutes of game overview followed by 45 minutes of play (three 12-minute periods). e Park District of Oak Park program believes that 1 weekly lesson is not enough to become "a better" hockey player and must be complemented by more practice, ice time, and play. As such, signing up for a hockey lesson for the instruction should be complemented by PBHL game play where players can learn to apply their skills. PBHL is also an excellent step for those players wishing to get a feel for the game aspect before beginning a travel program, but also enough for those not wishing to travel.
