Off-Leash Dog Parks & Permits Residents and non-residents are invited to enjoy the Park District of Oak Park's two off-leash dog parks below. Your four-legged friends can expend energy, exercising and socialize with other dogs in a safe and healthy environment, while you socialize with other permit holders who share your love of dogs. Dog Park Locations: • Ridgeland Common Dog Park (415 Lake Street) • Maple Park (1105 S. Maple Avenue) Prerequisites Permits are required to use dog parks. To apply for a Dog Park Permit, owners must provide proof of a valid village dog license receipt in the village of your residency, including the license number. Additionally, proof of vaccinations for the current year, including Rabies, Distemper, Kennel Cough/Bordetella, Para-influenza and Parvovirus are required. Proof of a negative fecal test for intestinal parasites within the last year must also be provided at the time of registration. Park District Dog Park Permits Permits must be submitted in-person at either the Ridgeland Common Recreation Complex or the Gymnastics and Recreation Center. Residents must provide proof of residency. Non-resident pass sales are limited to the first 200 purchasers in a 12-month period. Permits are valid for one year from the date of purchase. Dog Park Permit Required for Park Entry Dog parks use a key card access system. Members must bring their permit card to access the parks. Dog parks are maintained and inspected by Park District staff. Dog owners, who are not in compliance with dog park rules and requirements, may be subject to fines, as well as dismissal from dog park use.
