Belt testing is not mandatory but encouraged for advancement. Participants will be introduced to aikido techniques and philosophy and will focus on breathing and posture, conditioning exercises, etiquette, and learning to roll and fall properly. Learning basic aikido movements should also be useful to participants in their daily lives. Min 6/Max 15 Class does not meet: 7/5 Continuing Aikido Supervisor: Chad Drue Are you ready for a rigorous Martial Arts program? is course requires the completion of the Beginning Aikido course and the instructor's consent. Aikido practicioners ranked at gokyu or above may regsiter without consent. e focus will be on the requirements for rank testing. Participants must have their own jo and bokken. Min 6/Max 15 Advanced Aikido Supervisor: Chad Drue Admission to this course requires the instructor's permission, or a rank of sankyu or higher. e focus is on advanced body arts and Aikido weapons. Participants must also be registered for the Continuing Aikido class. Min 6/Max 15 Class does not meet: 7/5 Adult Karate Supervisor: Chad Drue Our adult classes release tension, develop total body fitness and build stamina and overall productivity. In addition to self-defense skills, karate increases flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, and muscle tone, while improving core strength. Min 1/Max 22 Class does not meet: 7/4, 7/11 Adult Taekwondo Supervisor: Chad Drue Restricted to high school students and older, this program concentrates on Taekwondo techniques through the study of forms, stances, and the skills of punching, kicking and blocking. is is a great program for those looking to maintain and improve their physical fitness. Min 5/Max 8 Class will not meet 7/3, 7/5. *Class will be held at Long fellow Center on 6/26, 6/28. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu/Judo Supervisor: Chad Drue In a fun and safe environment, students learn simple self-defense techniques and proven verbal skills helping them avoid confrontation. Jiu-Jitsu is a traditional mixed martial art, that incorporates techniques from Karate, Judo and Aikido. Class instruction is individualized and age appropriate. Students become more physically fit and learn self- defense techniques, tumbling, grappling and more. Min 8/Max 20 Class does not meet: 7/3
