It's time for some hoops! Practice your jump shot as teams will be formed each program night playing games on a rotating basis. Play only, no instruction is given. Children are not allowed in the facility. NEW Co-Ed Basketball option available in addition to Men's. Min 8/Max 18 Class does not meet: 10/8 Adult Boxing Supervisor: Chad Drue In a fun and safe environment, students will learn self-defense utilizing boxing techniques. Students learn how to punch, block and use boxing combinations depending on skill level achieved. Students become more physically fit and learn whole-body coordination. Min 8/Max 16 Class does not meet: 11/25 Adult Futsal Supervisor: Chad Drue Futsal is a variation of soccer played on a gym floor with a smaller low-bounce ball. Pick-up games will be played on a rotating basis. No instruction will be given. You must be registered to participate. Min 10/Max 18 Class does not meet: 11/20, 11/27 Adult Gymnastics Supervisor: Jamie Lapke is is a co-ed instructional class for adults who are interested in learning gymnastics or maintaining their gymnastics skills. Time will be spent on gymnastics equipment, as well as strength training and stretching. Regular gymnastics cancellation policy applies. Participants must be 18 years of age by November 1, 2019 to be eligible for this class. Min 4/Max 10 Class does not meet: 10/31 & 11/28 Fencing Supervisor: Chad Drue En garde! Diana Unger, a certified coach with the United States Fencing Association with more than 25 years of fencing experience, will teach you the basics of fencing. Fencing requires patience, concentration, discipline, and self-awareness. Self- confidence, self-control, and emotional strength gained from this sport will lead to a healthier lifestyle. Weapons, jackets, and masks will be provided and shared among classmates.Participants must obtain a $10 U.S. Fencing Membership prior to the first day of class. Participants are to bring a glove for the hand that they write with. Does not need to be a fencing glove. Min 4/Max 10 Class does not meet: 10/31, 11/28 Adult Pickleball Lessons Supervisor: Chad Drue What is the fastest growing sport in the U.S.A? It's PICKLEBALL, a paddle sport combining elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Pickleball can be played on a tennis court with the dimensions of a badminton court and a lowered net. It is played with a perforated plastic baseball (similar to a whiffle ball) and wood or composite paddles. It is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. Instruction is given. Game play included. Equipment will be provided by the Park District. Min 8/Max 16 Class does not meet: 11/30 Adult Ninja Warriors Supervisor: Chad Drue Working off an integrated curriculum/structure, this class is appropriate for the beginner and advanced participant. It's all about progression in each obstacle and each individual putting themselves to the test week aer week. Class will include some of our more beginner, intermediate and some of our most challenging obstacles aimed at building both strength, balance and agility. Class will typically include three circuits with 5-8 stations (obstacles) per circuit. Each 55-minute class is based on a continually-evolving lesson plan and set of obstacles and circuits aimed at providing a foundation of strength, agility and balance. Our mission is to strive to have all achieve, grow in perseverance, athleticism, confidence and have fun doing it! Held at Windy City Ninjas at 648 W. Lake St. in Elmhurst.
