Home–Behind the Scenes: Solar Panels

Get a behind-the-scenes look at the new solar panel
installation, learn how solar energy is being used
at the Conservatory, and interact with a solar panel
expert to learn how you can support solar in your
energy conservation effort at home. Presented
by the Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory
(FOPCON). FREE for FOPCON members; $10 for

Terrarium Construction
Supervisor: Leah Pryor
Learn the basics of terrarium construction and
care while constructing your very own terrarium to
take home with a holiday or haunted theme. Each
registration includes 1 drink (beer or wine).

Potions, Poisons and Plants

Get in the Halloween spirit by joining us for this
"spirited" lecture on the mystical and sometimes
murderous property of plants! Each registration
includes 1 drink (beer or wine).

Succulent Pumpkins
Supervisor: Leah Pryor
Create a fall tablescape using succulents grown on
top of pumpkins and gourds. You will learn about
selecting the right succulents and how to affix a
beautiful arrangement on top of a pumpkin. Fall
colors shine through in these unique arrangements
that you will be able to take home and enjoy for
months with proper care. Note: Registration is
required one week in advance of start date to allow
class materials to be purchased for all participants.

cra elements that will create a long-lasting display
