21 www.pdop.org arts YOUTH PERFORMING ARTS Our programming provides high-quality, affordable dance education in a fun and interactive format that builds community, positive self-awareness and rhythmic interpretation of music, as well as physical, social, emotional and cognitive development. Youth Performing Arts Beginning Ballet Develop turnout, body alignment, etiquette, center work and across-the-floor movements Beginning Ballet & Tap Turnout, coordination, basic ballet vocabulary, beginning tap skills, and spatial awareness Intermediate Ballet & Tap Intermediate barre and center work, corps de ballet sequences, allegro, grand allegro, challenging tap sequences and choreography Hip Hop & Tumbling Fusion class with skill development of House, Steppin', isolations and basic tumbling Mini Cheer Learn stretches, motions, jumps, basic stunts, basic tumbling, dances and cheers Dance & Tumbling Laban fundamentals, social dance, basic tumbling and early learning milestones Intermediate Ballet Moving onto full barre and center work with pirouettes, corps de ballet sequences, allegro, grand allegro and reverance Hip Jazz Hop Fusion class of basic jazz, hip hop skills and choreography of House, Steppin', isolations, handstands, shoulder stands and partner lis Pre-Ballet Introduction to ballet with beginning development of turnout, coordination, spatial awareness, positions of the feet, introductory vocabulary and creative movement All 12-week winter program participants perform in Dream Big, the annual Spring Dance Performance. *12-week class registration for PDOP Just Dance Performance Group includes additional performance opportunities. Classes do not meet March 21-28 during Spring Break and April 10-12. Tiny Tappers/Tap & Jazz Beginning tap skills, rhythm and coordination Creative Movement Explore natural dance movement, imaginative play, musicality and independence Pirouettes with my Partner Explore imaginative dance, foster independence, sensory, fine and gross motor skills Dream Spring Dance Perfmance BIG 11am Tiny Dancer Showcase 1:30pm Recreational Dancer Showcase Featuring our winter dance participants.
