The need to provide affordable adult fitness opportuni es as well as addi onal space to support team and individual sport
endeavors is very real in our community.
Addi onally, making community connec ons at all ages is cri cal. A Community Recrea on Center is an open and invi ng
public facility that allows for these community connec ons to be made through an organic process. The ameni es of the
Community Recrea on Center are not duplicated in our parks system. This much-needed facility will allow the Park District
of Oak Park to extend services to Oak Park's diverse popula on, reach underserved residents and help strengthen our
community bonds.
