Its architect, George Washington Maher, a contemporary of Frank Lloyd Wright, used repetitive decorative motifs throughout the house to make a unified design. e first owner of Pleasant Home was John Farson who was known as a great philanthropist and wealthy investment banker. Tours Join us ursday through Sunday for tours of Pleasant Home. Guided tours of the home, led by docents, are offered at 12pm and 1pm for $10. Sisters Teri and Cheri of Tangerine Mountain will showcase their collection of authentic Japanese kimono. Attendees will have the opportunity to be dressed in the beautiful, traditional clothing, have some tea, and enjoy a special day at Pleasant Home. $25 general admission; $20 for members Back for Spring – Tour & Tea Enjoy a one-hour tour of historic Pleasant Home followed by a private tea with sweet and savory treats in our grand setting.
