Junior Lifeguards must be able to swim 50 yards using the crawl or breaststroke, surface dive and retrieve a 10-pound brick from a depth of 4 feet, and swim underwater for 10 feet. Supervisor: Stacey McNamara Jr. Lifeguards Gold (Ages 14-15) Students will receive instruction in water safety, public relations, facility operations, teamwork, leadership skills, basic work skills, lifeguarding skills, First Aid and CPR/AED use. With successful completion of the course, students will receive certification as International Pool and Waterpark Junior Lifeguards. Course fee includes books, certification, and supplies. Class size is limited so register early. New summer 2020, Jr Lifeguard Gold participants will also complete lifeguard shadow shis to receive their certification! Beginners to the sport are welcome in this brand new class that covers the rules and strategy of Water Polo. Swimmers must have passed JES Adv. Beginner (Pre Summer 2020) or Stroke School White to be eligible. is class is taught in deep water, swimmers must be able to tread water for extended periods of time. Supervisor: Stacey McNamara Log Rolling! Test your balance in our new Log Rolling class. is class covers the basics of this competitive sport from how to get on the log, to progressing in difficulty.
