No previous knowledge of chess is necessary: players of all levels are welcome. Participants will get to the next level under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach. Participants can test for a Chess Belt under a unique Chess Scholars system patterned aer martial arts belts. Chess competition with prizes at the end of the session! Send them to Game Club. Every month, we bring in a wide assortment of games and consoles new and old for elementary aged kids. It's a way to try new games and meet other kid gamers. Monday, Oct 19, 5:00-5:55P or Tuesday, Dec 1, 6:45-7:40P Have a magical time with professional magician Gary Kantor. Amaze family and friends with tricks that involve cards, ropes, coins, mind-reading and more. Tricks are quick to learn and easy to perform. All materials are provided and each child receives a magic kit to take home. Children are grouped by age and you can sign up for this class again and again since brand new tricks are taught each session! In this exciting STEAM program, students will design, build and test their very own robots under the guidance of an experienced AES instructor. Projects include remote control cars, claws, cranes, crawlers, and battle bots. Educational components include gear ratios, mechanical design, electronics, and robotics engineering. No previous experience is necessary- just a desire to have fun, build, and learn. Each student will receive an award on the last day of the session, and have the opportunity to earn Energy Belts to demonstrate their learned skills! Grades 1-6 Res Fee $114 - Fee $134 Location: Austin Gardens Min 6/Max 7 Supervisor: Megan Ulczak Let's Build It – Exciting Electronics! ursdays, Nov 5-Dec 17, 6:30-7:30P In Exciting Electronics, budding engineers will have the opportunity to design, build, and test a wide variety of circuits and electronic projects! Instructors will guide students through core concepts of electrical engineering as they complete hands-on projects and experiments to explore how electricity is part of our daily lives. No previous experience is necessary- just a desire to learn and build. Projects will include various sound producing circuits, musical instruments, and a simulated telephone. You can even build your own radio and tune in a real radio station! Each student will receive an award on the last day of the session, as well as the opportunity to earn Energy Belts to demonstrate their learned skills!
