Building from the previous level, Advance Jump and Spin will develop double jumps and advanced spinning including flying camel and flying sit spin, illusions, continuous walleys, rockers and counters in pattern. Min 4/Max 8 Supervisor: Cathy Brown Elite Advanced Skating Must receive passing permission from the program coordinator prior to entering this level. Must have a clean double salchow and double toe loop or double loop. Elite Advanced Skating will develop consistency with all double jumps from the previous levels, Advanced Double Jumps and Spins will develop double jumps consistency from double salchow, double toe loop, double loop jump, double flip jump and double lutz jump. Spins will develop advanced spinning including death drop, butterfly, flying camel combinations, combination spins, back rockers, counters, brackets and front and back loops. Min 4/Max 8 Supervisor: Cathy Brown Tackle that Axel/Double Jumps Prerequisite: Skaters must be currently enrolled in Free Skate 5 and up in order to enroll in this class. One of the most difficult jumps to master is the Axel Jump. is class gives skaters the opportunity to focus on this jump and work closely with the instructor on the key elements necessary to achieve this jump and double jumps. Must have clean axel to participate in double jumps. Min 4/Max 8 Supervisor: Cathy Brown youth sports Skate Academy For the health and safety of all, participants on the ice will be limited to capacities as regulated by Illinois Department of Public Health. These participants will be divided into skill levels. Participants must wear masks at all times. Specators are not allowed at this time. Skaters who are renting skates may have 1 adult enter the facility with them to help with skates then must exit the facility. Classes can be watched virtually through Livebarn! You will receive information at time of registration. Find our Adult Skating & Hockey classes on page 46. Power Skating Low (Basic 3-FS 1) High (FS 2 and above) Must be in Free Skate 4 or above to enroll in this class. is class will work on power and endurance for figure skaters. It will help skater's movement down the ice increasing their speed and incorporating power while maintaining their endurance. Min 4/Max 8 Supervisor: Cathy Brown Skating Special Events For those skaters that love to perform, this class will get you trained and ready to take your talents to the ice in front of our special event audiences! You will have a chance to display your talents and enjoy the fun of live performance at our events!
