For more details, visit pdop.org/scholarships Scholarships for All Ages Scholarship funds for residents of all ages are available to assist low-income individuals and families in participating in Park District of Oak Park programs. Funding for up to 75% of program fees is available with funding limits per each family member. ese funds are provided by the Park District of Oak Park and by the Oak Park Township. Applicants must provide all information requested on the Scholarship Application and pay the approved, but reduced, amount of program fees. Allow up to one week for processing once you have submitted the Scholarship Application and supporting documentation. Rehm Park Improvements Starting April 1, Rehm Park will close for renovation. With help from a $400,000 IL Department of Natural Resources OSLAD grant, new playground equipment will be installed along with an ADA-accessible synthetic turf surface, a picnic pavilion, restroom and the relocation of the west entrance from the center of the playground to north of the playground to heighten safety. A game area will be created in the southwest corner of the park with table tennis, baggo and a Gaga pit. Substantial completion of this renovation project is slated for September 1, 2021. Prescribed Burns Prescribed burns will take place at Taylor, Field and Lindberg Parks and Austin Gardens, in late March or early April, to maintain the health of our native areas. is land management tool is used to reduce weeds, eliminate invader trees and shrubs, extend the growing season, and spur more vigorous plant growth. e actual dates of the prescribed burns are dependent on weather conditions. REHM PARK IMPROVEMENTS 4.7.2020 5 SITE FURNISHINGS PLAYGROUND 5-12 YEARS OLD PLAY EQUIPMENT Carroll Center features a Passive House design including a geothermal system, solar panels and more.
