63 www.pdop.org Oak Park Ice Bears Hockey Fall Hockey Info • www.pdop.org/icebears e Park District of Oak Park Ice Bears is a travel hockey program based out of the Ridgeland Common Recreation Complex. e co-ed teams compete in the Northwest Hockey League and All Girls team competes in Northern Illinois Hockey League. Please see the chart on page 59 to see when your player will be eligible to join the program, as well as what pre-requite classes they must have taken. We can accommodate 10 teams for the 2021-2022 Ice Bear Season – number of teams per level are decided based off registration. Generally, there are two teams at each level; however, a team may not be offered at all levels pending registration outcomes. Age levels are considered full with 30 skaters and 4 goalies; however, the program reserves the right to add players based on circumstance. Players who are new to the Ice Bears Program, Squirt and Up, MUST be evaluated PRIOR to registration. Contact the Hockey Coordinators, Dan & Jon at hockey@pdop.org to set up an evaluation. Anyone who registers without being evaluated will be removed from the roster and lose their place in the program. Fees DO NOT include jersey costs (Adult $131, Youth $122), socks ($24) and any tournaments or games that a team participates in outside of the NWHL or NIHL schedules.
