Children will discover a greater control of their bodies as well as the confidence to express their emotions in a variety of ways. e class offers opportunities to stand out as a solo and work together as an ensemble which helps children develop both leadership and teamwork skills in this fun, upbeat setting. Ages 18 mo to 4 yrs with adult Supervisor: Michaela Williams Discovering Music A fun, upbeat class that may also serve as the step before instrumental lessons. is class allows children to explore singing, dancing, and various instruments while introducing them to music theory and several classical composers, advancing their musical literacy, knowledge, and confidence to move forward on their musical journeys. Ages 4-6 Supervisor: Michaela Williams Guitar Lessons (private only) For students that are just beginning, or those with previous experience that want to fine tune their skills, this one-on-one setting provides learning to best fit students' interest and goals. With optional showcase opportunities twice a year, a performance setting will ensure confidence and achievement. Students must supply their own guitar. Ages 6+ Supervisor: Michaela Williams Piano Lessons (private only) Students learn how to read notes and rhythms, play scales and chords, and expand their musical abilities. Each week will bring new lessons and assignments to ensure growth as a musician and a performer. Students will choose repertoire with their instructor that both suits their interests and best fits their difficulty level. Optional showcase twice a year provide students with performance opportunities. Students must have access to a piano or keyboard to practice in between lessons. Ages 6+ Supervisor: Michaela Williams Intro to Singing Students learn and improve vocal technique with proper breath control, increase their vocal range, and learn to read sheet music. From classical arias, to Broadway show tunes, to today's hits, repertoire will consist of a combination of the instructor's assignments and student's picks. Optional showcase twice a year ensure opportunities to perform and showcase skills, providing a higher sense of confidence and achievement. Private lessons also available! Ages 7-12 Supervisor: Michaela Williams Discovering the Stage: Curious George A high-energy, fast paced class that introduces theatre skills and activities for young students who want to take the stage. Students will learn several warm-ups, games, and improvisation techniques to give them strong stage presence and confidence projecting their lines as well as playing as an ensemble. Ages 4-6 Supervisor: Michaela Williams Commanding the Stage: Peter Pan Students that are ready to take their acting skills to the next level will learn more advanced technique and exercises throughout this class. From story analysis, to character development, to rehearsal techniques, students will enjoy performing their role in short scenes and plays. Students will learn to follow direction as both leading players and ensemble members. Ages 7-12 Supervisor: Michaela Williams The Musical Stage: Willy Wonka For students with some theatre experience interested in diving deeper into what makes a musical. Students will learn the history of musical theatre and how it came to be what we see on stage today. With new warm-ups and exercises, students will learn singing and dancing techniques, how to transition from scene to song, deeper character development, and ensemble work.
