Learn how to punch, block, and use boxing combinations depending on skill level achieved. Boxing is a great way to enhance your physical fitness and learn whole- body coordination. Supervisor: Chad Drue Adult Beginning/Continuing Fencing En garde! Diana Unger is a certified coach with the United States Fencing Association with over 30 years of experience. You will learn the basic principles of foil fencing. e quickness and athleticism of the sport will lead to a healthier lifestyle. Fencing can boost confidence, improve self-control, and increase emotional strength. Weapons, jackets, and masks will be provided and shared among classmates. Participants must obtain a $10 U.S. Fencing membership prior to the first day of class (www.usafencing.org). Participants must also bring a glove for the hand they write with. It does not have to be a fencing glove. Supervisor: Chad Drue Golf Lessons Improve your game by taking lessons from a trained golf instructor. Learn how to swing, putt, chip and play the game better whether you are picking up a club for the first time or looking to reduce your handicap to single digits. Each class will have a 6:1 student to instructor ratio and lessons focus weekly on proper grip and posture, putting, full swing and chipping. e Learning Center at Fresh Meadow Golf Club is located at 11302 Cermak Road in Hillside, IL. Supervisor: Chad Drue Adult Ninja Warriors All are welcome to challenge themselves each week with beginner, intermediate and challenging obstacles aimed at building strength, balance and agility. Each class will typically include three circuits with 5-8 stations (obstacles) per circuit. Each 55-minute class is based on an evolving lesson plan that is different every week. Held at Windy City Ninjas, at 648 W. Lake St. in Elmhurst. Supervisor: Chad Drue Adult Pickleball Lessons What is the fastest growing sport in the U.S.A? It is Pickleball – a paddle sport which combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Pickleball can be played on a tennis court and a lowered net. It is played with a perforated plastic baseball (similar to a whiffle ball) and wood or composite paddles. Participants will be sorted by skill level. Participants are required to bring their own paddle. Supervisor: Chad Drue Adult Open Archery Interested in shooting a bow & arrow? Sign up with our certified archery instructors who will encourage and coach all ages and levels! Classes will take place indoors with new safety protocols in place. A max of four participants will shoot at a time while the others wait at a distance. Supervisor: Mike Loszach
