and cultural tour around the world through food.
January brings the delicious flavors of Italy. February
brings us to Carnival and celebrating Brazil. March
we travel to Japan for the beauty and refinement of
Japanese cuisine. Tara has planned recipes for each
session, and you will enjoy the fruits of your labor in
the Cheney dining room while you explore cultures.
Bring along your favorite wine to sip or Tara will send
suggested menu pairings. Ages 21+

Carnivore!

stews and the long, slow and delicious flavors of
braising meat or fish. Join the experts from Carnivore
in the kitchen at Cheney for a hands-on demo of
the best fish to create a warm stew or the best cut of
meat for that perfect braise. Carnivore will bring their
product and have samples of delicious examples for
you to taste. Bring along your favorite beverage to
taste while you enjoy a Q & A in the Cheney dining
room. Ages 21+

Just in time for the season of love, we'll be tasting
three examples of sparkling wines made in different
styles. Sparkling wine goes with everything from
oysters to burgers and should be in your regular
rotation. Light appetizers will be provided to go with
your tastings. Ages 21+

Step out with your favorite Valentine at Cheney
Mansion for an evening of dining and dancing!
Dinner and cocktails will be provided followed by
lively dancing with your partner, guided by Park
District dance instructors and a DJ spinning you
through the evening! No dance experience is
necessary. Registration for two includes dinner,
dancing and two drink tickets per person. Ages 21+

Laura Pekarik, owner of Courageous Bakery, in the
Cheney Mansion kitchen for a new series of hands-on
classes to make your winter Sundays a little sweeter.
Sign up for one class or both! Each class is themed
and different, yet practical, so that you will be able to
create these beauties at home! Take home treats to
savor for yourself or share with your family.
