Each month is a different topic! Advanced registration is required for both child and caregiver to keep within maximum number allowed in the room. Ages 18mos-5yrs Supervisor: Patti Staley Jan - Winter Fun Feb - What's in a Desert Mar - Eggs Kindermusik: Fiddle Dee Dee Wednesdays, Jan 12-Mar 23, 9:30-10:10A We'll meet many animal characters in our books, activities, and songs—each specifically chosen for a toddler's emerging interests and physical skills. With silly, bumpy lap bounces, we'll help toddlers develop rhythm while further developing their ever-emerging language skills. With a special stringed instrument emphasis in the music from class, parents can bring home the violin, cello, and orchestra sounds to help their toddlers stay happy and engaged learners at home, too. Home materials: • Double CD featuring songs from class • Two interactive storybooks—is Little Piggy Played the Fiddle and Animal Serenade to develop early literacy skills • Home Activity Book and a pair of Fiddlestick instruments. Ages 18 months – 4 years old Per Session: Res Fee $202 - Fee $222 Location: Barrie Center Supervisor: Joe Lilly Kindermusik: Cities Wednesdays, Jan 12-Mar 23, 10:15-10:55A Sidewalks, elevators, skyscrapers, and world-traveling photographers are the theme. We'll be rhythmically busy playing storytelling games and handcraing city "buildings" from wax paper at home, so we can make a cityscape in class! Every activity has some at-home adaptations, so the parent can take part in the learning. With a pair of resonator bars as a featured instrument, and a multicultural, jazzy collection of music, preschoolers will develop the social and intellectual skills they'll need in school. Home materials: • Two books—Razupazu Toto and Down Our Street, Cities! • Game Board Set • Two Home CDs—collection of multicultural and jazzy music heard in class • Family Activity Book, and a pair of resonator bars Ages 3-5 years Per Session: Res Fee $210 - Fee $230 Location: Barrie Center Supervisor: Joe Lilly Note: Adults and all children 2 years old and older will be required to wear face coverings and social distancing guidelines will be followed. All PDOP/DCFS cleaning and disinfecting protocols will also be followed. Family Chat & Play Sundays, 9:15-10:15A Jan 23 • Feb 20 • Mar 20 Looking to connect with other parents with young children? Learn and converse while guided by one of PDOP's credentialed Preschool teachers! Chat with friends old and new while your child explores our forest-themed indoor playground. Ages: Parents and their 1 to 5-year-old children Per Session: Res Fee $6 - Fee $7 Location: Stevenson Center Supervisor: Joe Lilly Story Time at The Conservatory Wednesdays, 10:00-10:30A Ages 18mos-5yrs Enjoy stories, songs, and puppets led by our volunteer docents at the Oak Park Conservatory. Adults and children must both register to attend story time. Story time takes place outside in our Discovery Garden, and inside the Conservatory during inclement weather. is program is presented by the Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory.
