56 www.pdop.org youth sports Hockey Lessons Skills and Drills Ages 6-13 Want more time to work on your hockey skills? en here's the class for you! is class is designed for advanced skaters and participants must successfully pass Mini Cubs/Mighty Cubs 2, be an Ice Bears player, or receive hockey coordinator permission prior to entering Skills and Drills. e goal is to focus on specific skills for each skater that need improvement through fun and interactive drills. Curriculum will be adapted to focus on the individual skaters to make this a dynamic and engaging class. Focus on skating and edgework in the context of hockey skating through fun and interactive drills. Curriculum will be adapted to focus on the individual skaters to make this a dynamic and engaging class. Supervisor: Jonathan Kreyer and Dan Seltzer Goalie Bears Ages 6-14 Are you interested in playing goalie for your favorite hockey team? Here's your start! Our goalie class will introduce you to the equipment and fundamentals of playing goalie in a hockey game. Players in this program should also sign up for the PBHL to gain practical experience in a fun, game-based setting. Supervisor: Jonathan Kreyer and Dan Seltzer Ice Bears Prep League Ages 5-14 You've been working hard in your lessons to develop your skills. e PBHL is the perfect place to start putting those skills to use in a game situation! Players who sign up for this class take part in structured, cross ice scrimmages where coaches work with players to improve the basics of organized team play such as teamwork, position and basic rules of the game. Players are encouraged to take this program in conjunction with a PDOP Hockey Academy Class. Players must be enrolled in Polar Cubs 2/Junior Bears 2 or above OR be proficient skaters. For the health and safety of all, participants on the ice will be limited to capacities as regulated by Illinois Department of Public Health. These participants will be divided into skill levels. Participants must wear masks at all times. All participants may have ONE spectator at this time. If siblings are taking classes back to back, or a parent must bring additional siblings with, the spectator must exit the facility after helping their child onto the ice. Classes can be watched virtually through Livebarn! You will receive information at time of registration.
