Spring Wreath Making

Join us at Cheney Mansion for an evening of
Springtime! We will have materials on hand for you
to create a beautiful spring wreath to adorn your
favorite spot in your home or on your door! We will
use a mixture of floral pieces and cra elements to
welcome the season. Note: Registration will close
two days prior to the class to purchase materials for
all participants. Enjoy a glass of wine and snacks as
you create your wreath! Ages 21+

Wines for Humanity

Join Wines for Humanity at Cheney Mansion for a
fun evening with friends sampling delicious wines
from around the world all while giving back a portion
to New Moms here in Oak Park. Your wine advisor
will guide you through a tasting while also enjoying
delicious palette cleansers in the beauty of Cheney
Mansion. Ages 21+

Cooking Around the World

Join Chef Tara Humphrey of Global Peel for a culinary
and cultural tour around the world through food. In
April, you will be learning Southern Cooking in its
finest. From pecan pies to hand pies, to fried chicken,
biscuits and gravy, and the beauty of fresh vegetables.
Culinary techniques will include canning just in time
for summer gardening. In May, we will experience
the multi-cultural cuisines of South Africa. We will
enjoy barbecue favorites, blend chutneys, and cook
traditional foods from the Ndebele tribe. Bobotie,
curry, and pudding come together for an exciting and
innovative menu. Bring along your favorite beverage
to sip, or Tara will send suggest menu pairings the
week of each session. Ages 21+

Bring your prized pooch for social hour on the lawn
at Cheney Mansion. Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will
be served as you mingle with other owners, while
taking in the beauty of your Oak Park surroundings.

Start your Sunday relaxing at Cheney Mansion with
an all-levels, one-hour yoga practice on the grounds
with one of the Park District's expert instructors.
As a reward, enjoy and socialize with your fellow
classmates during a lovely brunch on the patio,
weather permitting. In the event of rain, yoga and
brunch will take place inside Cheney Mansion.
Delicious, yet healthy savories and just enough
sweet not to make you feel guilty! Two drink tickets
included in your registration.

Fish 101 with Carnivore Oak Park
Wednesday, Jun 22, 7:00-8:30P
Does cooking fish and shellfish intimidate you?
Join the team from Carnivore Oak Park on the
Cheney Mansion Patio for basics on cleaning
and filleting a fish. Also watch sample demos on
preparing fish properly for the grill. All products are
from Carnivore's fantastic inventory of products.
Carnivore will provide sample tastings, so bring along
your favorite beverage to sip. Ages 21+
