Motivated to become Jedis like the heroes they know from the movies, they will learn to concentrate on mastering the Force, appreciating the use of teamwork to build battle drones and AT-Walkers, and if their skills are up to par, make their very own lightsaber and use it in battle! In this class, students will learn the fundamentals of coding while creating animations and projects with their favorite characters from Encanto. Every class is a new adventure and opportunity to put coding fundamentals into action! From finding Bruno to helping Mirabel find her door, kids will have a blast learning about loops, variables, and more while creating their own magical journey! In this class, kids will delve into the amazing world of Roblox Studio - an aspiring game developer's playground!! Using this soware (which is also used in our advanced Roblox Code class), students will sharpen their computer skills, express creativity in new ways, and create their own self-made worlds! Learning about game design concepts, kids will have a blast with games such as Obby and Galactic Speed! Students code using the programming language Lua which is currently the leading scripting language used in games. Roblox's special version of this language – Roblox Lua, enhances the experience as students manipulate environments and program while having fun. From Obbys (obstacle courses) to creating Simulator Games, our Roblox Studio Code classes allow kids to publish the games they make – showing friends why Roblox Lua is so awesome! If so, they're going to love Snapology's Foundational Engineering: Machines and Contraptions program! is program gives your student the tools they need to understand mechanical movement and the importance of simple machines. ey will see these moving parts up close as they follow instructions to build various machines and contraptions, then use the models to develop new design ideas, test out physics concepts, and even play games with their partners and classmates. Whether they are the creative constructive type or prefer the inquisitive-deconstructive way of learning, this program is sure to spark their engineering interests! Ages 5-12 Res Fee $55 - Fee $72 Location: Dole Center - Studio 2 Winter Escape Snapology Monday, Jan 16, 1:00-4:00P In this workshop, students and their team will have 45 minutes to discover clues, solve puzzles, answer riddles, and manipulate contraptions to complete the assigned tasks and to ultimately unlock the box to escape Snapology! Using math skills, and critical thinking skills, students will be required to work together to succeed in escaping Snapology. Ages 5-12 Res Fee $55 - Fee $72 Location: Dole Center - Studio 2 Science Superpowers Monday, Feb 20, 9:00A-12:00P In Snapology's Science of Superpowers program, students explore the world of their favorite superheroes. Students will learn about forces, energy, and problem solving as they build models inspired by Superman, Batman, and all their favorite heroes.
