We'll go over safety, the kind of fire to build for cooking, and the right tools for the job. Plus, everyone's favorite part – eating! Nature Trivia Game Show Wednesday, Sep 7, 3:30-5:00P Put your nature knowledge to the test! Using everyone's favorite quiz game, Kahoot!, we'll see who the real Oak Park nature experts are! Topics include local trees, biomes, animals of the world, insects, dinosaurs, and more. Winners receive a certificate to prove their champion status! We're getting a private, aer-hours tour of their museum of science and meeting some very cool animals. Snakes, spiders and even… dragons? Ages 8-18 Res Fee $22 - Fee $27 Location: Austin Gardens Nature Makers: Wrapped Walking Sticks Wednesday, Sep 14, 3:30-5:00P We're making walking sticks for our next hike, and we'd like you to join us! Wednesdays, 3:30-5:00P e natural world operates on a lot of extremes – let's see for ourselves! What about the Ogopogo or the Honey Island Swamp Monster? Who are these creatures, anyway? Come discover the legends of these mythical creatures and more while roasting marshmallows and coming up with some myths of our own! Come try it out with us! is Try Archery event is led by our certified instructor and goes over the basics of target shooting, including safety, proper form, and aiming. Everyone will get a chance to take a shot! Ages 10-18 Res Fee $13 - Fee $18 Location: Barrie Park Floor is Wetlands Wednesday, Nov 2, 3:30-5:00P We're testing the new Living Indoor Ecosystem near South st. (LIES), and built a swamp inside of Ridgeland. But now we can't get to the snacks on the other side of our usual teen room! Join us for a wacky obstacle adventure, but don't forget – you can't touch the ground! Ages 10-18 Res Fee $13 - Fee $18 Location: RCRC Teen Adventure Club: Orienteering Saturday, Nov 5, 2:00-4:00P North, South, East, and West… how can you tell? is class explores orienteering – the process of navigating with a compass and map. We'll use these tools to find checkpoints around the park and maybe even find treasure at the end of our journey!
