Cheney Mansion, reminiscent of a gracious English
country home, was designed by Charles E. White, Jr.
in 1913. is 12,000-square-foot mansion, owned
and operated by the Park District, provides a unique
locale for community events and programs.

SPECIAL EVENT RENTALS

rooms, six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and
separate servants' quarters. e 2.2 acres
of beautifully landscaped grounds feature a
greenhouse as well as a community garden with
a woodland walk and waterfall fountain, and an
expansive lawn for picnics and private functions.

Dancin' at the Mansion
No experience or partner required. We will modify
these classes to allow for proper social distancing
while still learning and practicing these fun social
dance techniques. Please bring non-rubber soled
shoes to class.

Join Chef Tara Humphrey of Global Peel for a culinary
and cultural tour around the world through food.
In September, explore the depth and flavors of Paella,
learning seafood techniques and tapas. In October,
as the weather changes, feast on the delicious
comforting flavors of ailand. November brings the
discovery of one of the world's most historical places.
January brings the delicious flavors of Italy. February
brings us to Louisiana and the rich flavors embedded
in Cajun Cuisine. In March, travel to Greece and
create the balanced flavors of the Mediterranean.
Tara has planned recipes for each session, and you
will enjoy the fruits of your labor in the Cheney
dining room while you explore cultures. Bring along
your favorite wine to sip or Tara will send suggested
menu pairings. Ages 21+

learning about their businesses and their passions?
Come to the patio of Cheney Mansion in September
to meet the team from One Lake Brewing; October
the team from Exit Strategy and in November One
Lake Brewing will return to sample what they are
brewing around the fire. ey will have season-
appropriate tastings and talk about what makes their
breweries and product so great. We will have snacks
to help with your tastings! Ages 21+

Jazz Night at the Mansion

Our series with the Tony Morrison Jazz Quartet for
October and November moves to Cheney Mansion
as we transition to chilly weather with cool vibes
from this local favorite quartet. Each month will
bring a themed performance of straight-up jazz in a
wonderful setting. Light snacks and two drink tickets
are included in your registration. Ages 21+

Tequila Tasting with Maya Del Sol

Cheney Mansion and representatives from Maya
Del Sol invite you to experience the variety and
depth of tasting tequila. You will learn there are
differences between mezcal and tequila and how the
flavors and process of distilling differ as well as how
important aging is to the taste difference in tequila.
Light appetizers from Maya Del Sol's menu are also
included to help clear your palette between tastings.
