Bring the Simplicity Parenting approach to discipline into your life. Hear directly from Soul of Discipline author, Kim John Payne, and learn about the history of discipline techniques and how they have shaped our own biographies. Discover why your child's developing will and your boundary- building is important at this phase of childhood. A certified Simplicity Parenting Group Leader will facilitate an experience for you to welcome warm, firm and calm guidance into your family. Parents of ages 2-9 Res Fee $65 - Fee $70 (Note: Class materials must be purchased at an additional cost of $29 in advance of the first class (a couple shares a set of materials) Location: Austin Gardens Environmental Education Center Discipline and Guidance Parent Groups - The Tween Years Saturdays, 9:00-11:30A Dec 1 • Dec 10 • Dec 17 What does a parent do with a child that is not a teen but no longer a young child? Discover the Simplicity Parenting approach to discipline. Hear directly from Soul of Discipline author, Kim John Payne. Learn how to hear your child at this phase of childhood and get attuned to your child's changing moods and needs so you can cultivate social awareness. A certified Simplicity Parenting Group Leader will facilitate an experience that will help you parent with both sensitivity and responsibility. Parents of children ages 9-13 Res Fee $65 - Fee $70 (Note: Class materials must be purchased at an additional cost of $29 in advance of the first class (a couple shares a set of materials) Location: Austin Gardens Environmental Education Center Toddler Exploration Time Fridays 9:30-10:15A & 10:30-11:15A Children will be delighted with stories, lessons, and cras led by our Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory education volunteers. Each month is a different topic. Advanced registration is required. Ages 18mos-5yrs Sep 16 - Seeds & Gourds Oct 14 - Bats Nov 18 - Winter is Coming Jan 20 - BRRRRR! Feb 17 - Yummy Mar 17 - e World Below Story Time at The Conservatory Wednesdays, 10:00-10:30A Ages 18mos-5yrs Enjoy stories, songs, and puppets led by our Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory volunteers. Adults and children must both register to attend this event. Registration is required in advance. Presented by the Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory. Free, with suggested $5 donation at the door. Discipline and Guidance Parent Groups - The Teen Years Saturdays, 9:00-11:30A Feb 4 • Feb 11 • Feb 18 Is your teen managing choices with your support? Bring the Simplicity Parenting approach to discipline into your life. Hear directly from Soul of Discipline author, Kim John Payne, and learn why a teen can benefit greatly from your connection and shared sense of direction. A certified Simplicity Parenting Group Leader will facilitate an experience that enables you to guide your child to affirm direction and calibrate peer life while you build a healthy road map together.
