Oak Park Ice Bears
e Oak Park Ice Bears are
a Travel Hockey program
that runs Mite (8U) through
Bantam (14U). e program
is divided into two categories: Co-ed which
competes in the Northwest Hockey League
(NWHL), and Girls which competes in
the Northern Illinois Hockey League
(NIHL). All teams focus on building
well-rounded athletes on and off the ice.
Ice Bears train with Goodman Elite to add
strength, conditioning and power skating
to their practice schedule which is a unique
opportunity.
To become an Ice Bear, players should
follow the progression chart on page 72.
Players who are transferring from a hockey
program outside of Oak Park or a figure
skating program, should contact the hockey
program at hockey@pdop.org.
