Ages 7+ Res Fee $13 - Fee $18 Location: Austin Gardens Owl Pellet Dissection Saturdays, 6:30-8:00P May 6 • Aug 26 Did you know owls eat their prey whole? ey can't digest the bones, so they spit them back up in a pellet – gross! We're going to investigate what owls eat by dissecting these (sterilized) pellets and seeing what kind of skeletons we can uncover. Whatever bones you find, you can take home! Join us in playing some bee games, tasting different kinds of honey, and more as we learn about some amazing pollinators. Ranging from forests to deserts to mountains and back again, these amazing epiphytes are now able to head to your home! Join us in making our own terrariums and learning all about these bizarre bromeliads. Everyone goes home with one air plant and terrarium. Ages 7+ Res Fee $17 - Fee $22 Location: Austin Gardens Hapa Zome Plant Printing Workshop Friday, Jun 2, 6:30-8:00P Literally translated to "leaf dye", Hapa Zome is the Japanese art of pounding plants with a hammer to color fabric. Join us in learning all the ways plants are used as dye, and make your own botanical tote bag. We'll have a smashing good time! All materials provided.
