Please visit iskc.com or call us at (847) 359-0666 for more information. TAEKWONDO CLASS INFO: • Belt testing is offered through The KH Kim Taekwondo at an additional fee and is held twice a year. Belt testing is not mandatory but encouraged for advancement. More info is available through instructor. • All colored belt students are required to have complete sparring gear. • Uniform Fee: $50 (not included in class fee, due at first class) Adult Karate Our adult classes release tension, develop total body fitness, and build stamina and overall productivity. In addition to self-defense skills, karate increases flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, and muscle tone, while improving core strength. Adult Taekwondo Restricted to high school students and older, this program concentrates on Taekwondo techniques through the study of forms, stances, and the skills of punching, kicking, and blocking. is is a great program for those looking to maintain and improve their physical fitness. Modern Arnis Filipino Martial Arts is is a complete self-defense system that trains practitioners to be proficient with both weapons and empty hands. is class will introduce students to single stick, double stick, empty hand and ground control drills and techniques to significantly improve skills, reflexes, agility and power. is class is limited to students 9 years of age and older. Two rattan sticks will be required by the second session and can be purchased through the instructor. Beginning Aikido Aikido is a non-competitive martial art with foundations in sword and spear fighting, jujutsu, and other martial arts. Practitioners of the art learn to control their own bodies and redirect attacks. Participants will be introduced to aikido techniques and philosophy, and will focus on breathing and posture, conditioning exercises, etiquette, and learning to roll and fall properly. Continuing Aikido I is course requires the completion of the Beginning Aikido class and the instructor's consent. Aikido practitioners ranked at gokyu or above may register without consent. is class focuses on the requirements for rank testing and introduces aikido weapons. Participants must have their own jo and bokken and must also be registered for Beginning Aikido. Continuing Aikido II Admission to this course requires the instructor's permission, or a rank of sankyu or higher. e pace of this class is faster, and participants will be expected to demonstrate a more mature grasp of aikido movement. Participants must also be registered for Continuing Aikido I.
