Youth Karate ISKC's Youth Karate classes will put children in touch with their bodies and offers a good mix of strength training, along with cardiovascular and flexibility exercises. Children increase their coordination, agility and poise, as well as learn lasting personal safety skills. ey also benefit from the mental stimulation of learning the choreographed moves of the kata and the discipline of conforming to class rules. KARATE CLASS INFO: • Uniforms and belt testing are optional through the ISKC instructor at an additional fee. • Beginner students will not be permitted to register into the current session after the second class has met. • Registration for continuing through advanced students will be accepted after the start date, but the full class fee is required. TAEKWONDO CLASS INFO: • Belt testing is offered through The KH Kim Taekwondo at an additional fee and is held twice a year. Belt testing is not mandatory but encouraged for advancement. Youth Tae Kwon Do is program includes a balanced cardiovascular workout including punching, kicking and blocking skills, using the Taekwondo tradition and self- control. Aikido for Kids Aikido is a way of harmony, not combat. Children who study Aikido develop and expand their mental and physical awareness while learning cooperation and respect for others. Instruction begins with exercises to stretch and strengthen young bodies and improve attention, coordination and motor skills. Falling with confidence is a big part of training followed by learning the principles of movement which allows students to practice techniques with partners.
