RISE Field Hockey was founded on the belief that introducing the game of field hockey to as many athletes as we can will help grow the game. From the beginner to the college bound athlete all of our programs will help you improve, learn and fall in love with the game of field hockey. RISE Coaches are former collegiate field hockey players who are knowledgeable and passionate about field hockey. Beginners through experienced players are welcome. Athletes will need a stick, mouth guard, shin guards and turf/soccer cleats. Equipment can be purchased at Play it Again Sports in Forest Park or at www.longstreth.com. 1000 Watts NFL Flag Football League What a better way to start your spring than with 1000 Watts NFL Flag Football League! Each session begins with a practice followed by two 20-minute halves. At the end of the session there is a single elimination tournament. e winner of each division will be crowned Super Bowl champs! Players will be placed on teams and receive their own NFL jersey and flag. Please note your game times will be determined and communicated aer registration period has completed. Oak Park Youth Baseball and Softball Classes (OPYBS) is is a skills class taught by coaches from Oak Park Youth Baseball and Soball, where general skills for the sport are taught for development. Baseball basics include throwing, catching, hitting, fielding, pitching and running the bases. Youth Boxing In a fun and safe outdoor environment, students will learn self-defense utilizing boxing techniques. Students learn how to punch, block and use boxing combinations depending on skill level achieved. Students become more physically fit and learn whole- body coordination. Golf Lessons is class focuses on grip, posture, putting, full swing and chipping taught by a trained golf instructor. Held at Fresh Meadows Golf Club located at 11302 Cermak Road in Hillside, IL. Diana Unger, a certified coach with the United States Fencing Association with more than 25 years of fencing experience, will teach you the basics of fencing. Fencing requires patience, concentration, discipline and self-awareness. Self-confidence, self-control, and emotional strength gained from this sport will lead to a healthier lifestyle. Participants must purchase and bring their own fencing mask and jacket. Participants must obtain a $15 U.S. Fencing membership prior to the first day of class (www. usafencing.org). Participants must also bring a glove for the hand they write with. It does not have to be a fencing glove. Taylor Intensified Basketball Skills Training Adam Taylor Intensified Basketball comes to Oak Park! Adam has worked with some of the top collegiate and NBA players! Learn as well as improve upon your skills so that you can take your game to the next level! Dribbling, shooting, defense and game strategy will be some of the skills that will be covered.
