Oak Park Conservatory Programs & Events FALL MUM SALE & BULB SALE Online sale begins August 25 In Person, September 15 Support the Oak Park Conservatory by shopping local this fall with homegrown Oak Park Conservatory fall mums. Mums are fall's favorite flower. This year we have grown an abundance of beautiful, unique and hardy mums to brighten up your front porch and garden. Choose from XL mum containers and 5" mums. Order online early for best selection! Plant in the fall to add color to your spring garden with easy-to-grow tulips, daffodils and other bulbs. Rare to find, naturalizing and perennial favorite bulbs will be on hand such as Tulips, Naturalizing Daffodils, Hyacinths, Alliums, Fritillaria, Snowdrops, Scillia and more! Fall Plant & Tool Exchange Sunday, Sep 10, 9:30-11:30A Join other gardeners and share your favorite plants and tools at the Fall Plant and Tool Exchange, presented by the Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory. Save your garden plastic pots and drop them off at our Garden Pot Return so they can be reused and kept out of landfills. Please bring at least one plant to participate in the plant exchange. Ages 18+ Prescribed Fire 101 ursday, Sep 14, 7:00-8:00P Austin Gardens Environmental Education Center As we transition into fall in Illinois, you may see signs of fire in our states natural areas. e use of prescribed fire is increasing across the state and county. Learn about how prescribed fire is used here in our parks, and across the county to help improve habitats for native plants and animals while reducing the risk for wildfires.
