Participants will learn the very basics of the sport such as proper foot positioning and pushing so that they can become comfortable skating flat ground and learn how their equipment works. Because skateboarding is an individual sport, participants will learn at their own pace with the help of experienced instructors who will give plenty of one-on-one time, even in this group setting. Participants must provide their own helmet and skateboard. Residents and non-residents are invited to enjoy the Park District of Oak Park's two off-leash dog parks below. Your four-legged friends can expend energy exercising and socializing with other dogs in a safe and healthy environment, while you socialize with other permit holders who share your love of dogs.
