85 Prorated 2014 Permits - On Sale Now! Valid through July 31, 2014 Fee: 1st Dog: $25, each additional dog per household is $5 up to 2 additional dogs. A $10 refundable deposit is required at the time of purchase for the proximity card that enables access to the Dog Parks. This deposit will be returned in the event you end your Dog Park membership and return your proximity card. How to Obtain a Permit - Limited permits available Permits are available for Oak Park residents only. They must be purchased IN-PERSON. You may purchase a permit at the Hedges Administrative Center or the GRC - see hours of operation on page 4. Requirements Owners must first register their dogs with the Village of Oak Park. When obtaining a permit, owners must provide a valid village dog license receipt including the license number. They must also provide proof of current vaccinations for rabies, distemper, kennel cough/ bordetella, para-influenza and parvovirus. About Our Dog Parks - Permits Required Your tail-wagging companions have a place they can call their own! The Park District has two dog parks for the enjoyment of our residents and their four- legged friends. Maple Park Dog Park is located in the southwest corner of Oak Park. Ridgeland Common Dog Park, located centrally on Lake Street, is currently closed for renovation. Benefits for Dogs and Owners Through required health screenings for dogs and security fencing, owners and dogs alike will enjoy a safe and healthy environment. Canines will have the opportunity to run and exercise off-leash,meeting new friends. The parks offer a great opportunity for owners to socialize with fellow dog lovers. So shake-off those fleas, register for a permit, and get ready to emBARK on a new adventure. Important Note A key-card access system is in place for dog park entry. All permit holders are required to bring their card to gain access to the facilities. Each dog park is monitored by staff and visited periodically by the Village of Oak Park Police. Owners who are not complying with the rules of the dog park will be subject to fines up to $1,000. Maple Park Dog Park HOURS: Daily, sunrise to sunset Located on the Southside of town, the Maple Park Dog Park is a dedicated off-leash area on the northwest corner of Maple Park that covers approximately 12,000 square feet, and features a crushed granite surface, benches, an electronic entry system, and a water fountain just for the canines. Dog park permit required for access! Stevenson Edge HOURS: Sa, Su & Holidays, 7-10am Stevenson Edge, replacing Dog Park Plus, is located at the southwest corner of Stevenson Park, 49 Lake Street.
