The level continues developing the skills introduced in level 1 by developing unsupported floating and gliding. An emphasis is placed on fundamental leg, arm and breathing skills in the freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke. Endurance begins to develop by swimming widths of each skill. Streamline position, deep water bobs, and rotary breathing are also developed. Class does not meet: 7/4,7/5 Min 4/Max 6 Super Swim (Ages 6-7) Supervisor: Jackie Sturtz Prerequisite: Must receive passing recommendation from Preschool 3/4 or Kids Swim 2 prior to registering for this level. This class is for participants who has passed Preschool ¾ or Kids Swim 2 but does not yet have the endurance required for Kids Swim 3. The emphasis is on extending the distance traveled while improving skill work, freestyle and backstroke. Dolphin dives and streamline kicking is also introduced in this class.
