This class teaches toddlers beginning skating skills, with Mom or Dad right there to help them feel safe. We'll teach your child how to fall down and get up, march and march while moving on the ice. Parents will need basic skating skills in order to skate with their child. Bicycle helmets recommended. Fee covers one child and one parent; register child only. Min 4/Max 7 Class does not meet: 11/27, 12/23-1/3 SnowPlow Sam 1 Supervisor: Jackie Sturtz (Previously Tot 1) Snowplow Sam help skaters develop the preliminary coordination and strength to be comfortable on ice and to maneuver on the ice. Level 1 introduces students to skating through siting and standing in skates , marching in place, marching forward, gliding and dipping. Min 4/Max 7 Class does not meet: 11/27-29, 12/23-1/3 Beginner Dance & Skate Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Saturday mornings can be filled with this new combo class offering - dance and skating! Participants will start with a Twinkle Toes class from 9:20 to 10:10am. After class they will be escorted to the ice arena where instructors will help them get skates on for a Snowplow Sam 1 class from 10:30 to 11:00am. Both classes will help children learn how to control and use their bodies, relate to other children and express themselves through introductory skill work in dance and skating.
