Participants will start with a Twinkle Toes class from 9:20 to 10:10am. After class they will be escorted to the ice arena where instructors will help them get skates on for a Snowplow Sam 1 class from 10:30 to 11:00am. Both classes will help children learn how to control and use their bodies, relate to other children and express themselves through introductory skill work in dance and skating. Min 6/ Max 12 Class does not meet 11/29, 12/27, 1/3 Twinkle Toes Supervisor: Amanda Heiman An introduction to dance that uses creative movement in class to help children learn how to control and use their bodies, relate to other children, and express themselves. This program is an inexpensive investment to stepping stones of formal dance. Children will be introduced to technique which will help them as they advance into higher levels of dance. Min 6/Max12 Class does not meet: 11/25-29 Beginning Ballet Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Develop both friendships and the love of dance in this inexpensive beginning ballet class. Lessons will focus on basic ballet positions, proper ballet movements, and terminology as well as coordination and rhythm. Min 6/Max 12 Class does not meet: 11/25-29 Beginning Ballet & Tap Supervisor: Amanda Heiman This class will exposure your beginner to, two different types of dance styles. Ballet techniques and terminology will be taught which will provide a solid foundation for dancers to apply to both their tap skills and future dance education. Min 6/Max 12 Class does not meet: 11/25-29 Ballet & Jazz Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Ballet will be the foundation of this class as young dancers refine basic ballet movements, positions, proper body position and alignment. With a solid foundation of ballet, your child can better develop and enhance their jazz skills in this beginner class. Min 6/Max 12 Class does not meet: 11/25-29 Advanced Ballet & Jazz Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Young dancers will continue to blossom into formal ballerinas while focusing more on solid techniques, how to advance with the influence of more jazz moves, turns, and terminology. Weekly lessons also concentrate on solid choreography and independence. This is a great inexpensive way to continue in the dance world and will teach young dancers poise, confidence, and character. Min 6/Max 12 Class does not meet: 11/25-29 Contemporary Dance Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Not all dance is quiet and reserved. Some dance is about action, movement, and staying fresh within the dance world. Contemporary dance will allow your little dancer the chance to express their emotions with a combination of hip-hop, break dance, isolation technique, and more. Dancers will be encouraged to share their own musical tastes and weekly lessons will focus more on routine based choreography. Min 6/Max 12 Class does not meet: 11/25-29 End of Seion Showcase Parents/Guardians are invited to watch how their little dancer has grown over the duration of the class at the end of session showcase (held the last day of class).
