53 Safe Sitter Babysitting Training Supervisor: Mike Loszach Using hands-on activities, this class will cover topics such as babysitting as a business, how to successfully work with parents, child care essentials, injury prevention and management, and how to handle behavior issues. Participants will also walk away with a certificate of completition and tools to use on the job. A pizza lunch and light snacks included. Spend your day off of school (Columbus Day) with your friends exploring Chicagoland's largest amusement park where creepy creatures, ghosts, and ghouls come to life for the annual Fright Fest event. Whether you decide to spend your day on heart-pounding rollercoasters or braving the haunted houses and special shows and attractions set up for the Fright Fest, you're sure to have a great time. Park admission and transportation are included; participants should bring money for food and souvenirs. Min 10/Max 13 Xtreme Trampolines Teen Trip Supervisor: Mike Loszach Bounce off the walls with your friends in this massive warehouse filled with trampolines in Carol Stream! Take on your friends in a game of bouncing dodgeball and catapult yourself into the foam pit. This trip includes transportation and admission. Min 8/Max 13 Friday Night Ice Supervisor: Mike Loszach Spend the first Friday of each month skating with your friends at the new Ridgleand Common Recreation Complex Enjoy great music, games, giveaways, and more! Teens may pay at the door but advance registration is encouraged. Teen Night Out Supervisor: Mike Loszach Enjoy your Friday night with a new trip each month! On the third Friday of each month teens will meet at Longfellow Park before departing for their trip. Please be on the lookout for a trip schedule on our website in the future. Advance registration is required Teen Committee Meetings - HELP PLAN YOUR EVENTS AND TRIPS! (Grades 6-8) Supervisor: Mike Loszach Join this NEW committee and take an active role in planning your events, programs, and trips! Meetings will take place in a classroom immediately after school at each Middle School. Min 8/Max 30 Teen Bowling Trip Supervisor: Mike Loszach Take a trip to King's bowling in Rosemont over Winter Break and compete against your friends. See if you can convert that dreaded 7-10 split! This trip includes transportation and admission. Min 8/Max 13 CIT Leadership Training Supervisor: Mike Loszach A winter break CIT training program. It is designed to have two days of leadership and two days of working with our Passport to Adventure campers. The Counselor-In-Training program is for teens who are ready to take on a leadership role and learn to care for children in a camp setting. With staff guidance and encouragement, CIT's will work with youth, lead games and crafts, and assist on field trips. Being a CIT looks great on a resume and may even help you land that paid camp counselor position you've been dreaming of. Min 2/Max 6 Class does not meet: :12/24,12/25,12/26
