The instructor will introduce your artist to a new project each week, as well as give them an opportunity to explore the medium freely. What better way to spend your afternoon than getting messy, being creative, and exploring art. Min 8/Max 12 Class does not meet: 11/26 Creative Collages Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Cut and paste your way to a different collage each day. Participants will work with a variety of materials such as felt, fabric, paper, wood, and beads to create abstract art. Through the exploration of various media your child is sure to love this program. Min 8/Max 12 Mini Monets Supervisor: Amanda Heiman During this 6 week course your young artist will use a variety of mediums from cut paper to paint to collage. Each of their masterpieces will be inspired by famous artists like Monet, Picasso, and Kandinsky. Come to class ready to get messy as we create a portfolio of work reflective of our favorite colors, textures, and individual personalities! Min 8/Max 12 Clay Paint & Draw Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Busy hands mean busy minds. Engage in an afternoon of art exploring the richness of clay and play dough, the power of the paint brush, and the creativity of the crayon! Different projects will be introduced to your child each week as they begin to create their very first portfolio of work. Min 8/Max 12 Bake with Me Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Spend time with your child messing up someone else's kitchen! In this class you will enjoy mixing, stirring, measuring, and pouring your way through baked good recipes. Could it be cookies? Could it be cakes? Could it be breads? Whatever it will be, it will be DELICIOUS! Take home a recipe book of goodies at the end of the program. Additional activities connected to the weeks theme will also keep your little baker busy while things are bakin' in the kitchen! Min 8/Max 12 Class does not meet: 11/26 Cook with Me Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Spend time with your child messing up someone else's kitchen! In this class you will enjoy mixing, stirring, measuring, and pouring your way to something tasty. Could it be pizza? Could it be pasta? Could it be pineapple pancakes? Whatever it will be, it will be DELICIOUS! Take home a new recipe with you each week. Additional activities connected to the weekly cooking theme will also keep your little chef busy while things are cookin' in the kitchen! Min 8/Max 12 Cookie Monsters Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Mix, measure, scoop, and bake a cookie treat each week. Basic kitchen safety and recipe reading will also be included in this class along with additional activities while our goodies are in the oven! Min 8/Max 10 Cupcake Creations Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Each week we will whip up different types of cupcake, from red velvet to strawberry to tiramisu! Try a taste and share a taste . . . as a sample of each cupcake will go home with your little baker each class. Basic recipe reading, measuring, and kitchen safety will be covered in this class, in addition to fun-filled scheduled activities to participate in, while our goodies are in the oven! Min 8/Max 12 ART SHOW For Fall Art Program Participants (private event, not open to public) Sunday, December 7 from 5-6:30pm Stevenson Center Cubhouse 49 Lake Street Come see your art - make art - and play in our indoor space! This event is open ONLY to those enrolled in Fall Art sessions. ART SHOW FALL 2014
