14 School's Out Noon Skates All ages $7 per person, skate rental additional $3 Grab your friends and head to the ice arena for skating on your day off of school! Offered especially for students, these skates are a fun way to spend your day off! Jan 19: 11:30am-1:00pm Feb 16: 11:30am-1:00pm About Ridgeland Common Recreation Complex (RCRC) We've reconstructed the old Ridgeland Common building completely to expand the ice arena to official rink size (85x200), equipped for year-round use! The interior has also been upgraded to meet ADA requirements, and fitness classes are offered as well as other programming throughout the building. Two multi-purpose rooms have been added with A/V capabilities, sprung wood floor, ballet bars, and mirrors! The RCRC pool now features a new children's wading pool as well as ADA improvements. A new sports turf field, well suited to the demands of our small community, offers more playing time for youth and adult sports leagues and teams in Oak Park, and lighting and fencing has been added as well. Freestyle Sessions Freestyle ice time is for skaters who are looking for additional time to practice their skills individually or with a coach. These sessions are available only to those skaters registered in the Skate Academy program. Basic 8 and below may use the ice when accompanied by a coach. Check page 16 for additional times during the holidays! Fee: $10 or by pre-paid pass • Monday: 5:45 – 9:00 am • Tuesday: 7:30 – 8:30 pm • Wednesday: 7:15 – 9:00 am • Friday: 5:45 – 9:00 am • Saturday: 7:15 – 9:15 am Rat Hockey Drop-in times are available for hockey players to play a pick-up game or work on individual skills. Times are available for men and women for participants ages 18 and up. Full equipment is required. See additional Winter Break times on page 16. Fee: $10 or pre-paid pass Adults: Mondays, 9:15-10:15 am Men: Tuesday & Thursday, 7:15-8:45 am Women: Wednesday, 9:15-10:15 am Parties Celebrate your birthday on ice! Birthday party packages for ages 4-16 are available now! Parties include an hour and a half of public skate, half hour in the activity room, and skate rental. Skate Rental & Pre-Paid Passes Rental skates are available for all skate sessions and lessons for $3 a pair or by pre-paid pass. Pre-paid passes will reduce the cost for skate rental and the programs below. These passes are loaded onto your universal printed pass and can be purchased at any time on-line or in-person at Customer Service. Daily Admission (Rat Hockey, Freestyle): $10 Pre-Paid Pass: 12 visits for $100 Individual Skate Rental: $3.00 Pre-Paid Pass: 10 rentals for $20 Passes Ridgeland Common introduces the year round pass. Passes purchased will now be valid for a year after their purchase date regardless of when they are purchased. Public Skate passes provide entry to any public skate session including noon skate. These do not include freestyle, rat hockey, or skate rental. Rentals The ice arena and rooms at the RCRC are now available to rent! This space is great for social events, corporate outings, community groups, pick-up games, or extra practice time. The ice and rooms can be rented separately or together to make a great event both on and off-ice. Additional options to accompany your rental include skate rental and concessions.
