SKATING

Supervisor: Kyle Sandine
Skating is fun, and great exercise for you and your child! This
class teaches toddlers beginning skating skills, with Mom or
Dad right there to help them feel safe. We'll teach your child
how to fall down and get up, march and march while moving
on the ice. Parents will need basic skating skills in order to
skate with their child. Bicycle helmets recommended. Fee
covers one child and one parent; register child only.

SnowPlow Sam 1
Supervisor: Kyle Sandine
(Previously Tot 1) Snowplow Sam help skaters develop the
preliminary coordination and strength to be comfortable
maneuvering on the ice. Level 1 introduces students to
skating through sitting and standing in skates , marching in
place, marching forward, gliding and dipping.

SnowPlow Sam 2
Supervisor: Kyle Sandine
(Previously Tot 2) Prerequisite: Participants must receive
passing permission from Snowplow Sam 1 prior to entering
this level. Building from the previous level, Snowplow Sam 2
develops marching into glides, moving dips, backward wiggle,
rocking horse swizzles, forward swizzles, and two foot hop.

Dance & Skate
Supervisor: Amanda Heiman
Participants will start with a Twinkle
Toes ballet class from 9:30 to 10:20am,
followed by a Snowplow Sam 1 class
from 10:30 to 11:00am. Kids will not
only learn basic skill work in both dance
and skating, but explore how to express
themselves! Classes take place at RCRC
and staff escorts between classes and
will even help kids change out of dance
shoes into ice skates!
