Jr. Bears 1 (Previously Hockey 1)
Supervisor: Kyle Sandine
Develop the basic balance and coordination to
be comfortable on the ice. Entering the ice, basic
balance techniques, falling, standing, marching and
gliding are all developed. The goal is to develop small
maneuvers without assistance.Equipment Required:
skates, helmet, knee pads, and gloves.

Jr. Bears 2 (Previously Hockey 2)
Supervisor: Kyle Sandine
Prerequisites: Jr. Bears 1
Learn advanced movement techniques. Skills developed
include beginning striding, stopping and turning
technique, and an intro to edges and backward
movement. The goal is to move around with some ease
and come to stop staying upright. Equipment Required:
skates, knee/shin pads, elbow pads, gloves, and helmet

Jr. Bears 3 (Previously Hockey 3)
Supervisor: Kyle Sandine
Prerequisite: Must successfully pass Jr. Bears 2.
Developing on skills from the previous levels, Jr.
Bears 3 develops more advanced skills. Skaters
will learn to make quicker and precise movements
and transitions by further developing the stride,
stopping and backward skating. This level
also introduces puck handling and crossovers.
Equipment Required: skates, shin pads, hockey
pants, elbow pads, gloves, helmet, and stick.

Jr. Bears Advanced (Previously Advanced
Beginner)
Supervisor: Kyle Sandine
Prerequisite: Must successfully pass Jr. Bears 3
Building from the previous level, skaters will
develop stick skills and puck handling while
standing and skating. Building confidence to puck
handle with their head up, proper technique for
passing and shooting are taught at this level as well
as an introduction to game rules and positioning.
Equipment Required: skates, shin pads, hockey
pants, elbow pads, gloves, helmet, and stick.
Min 4/Max 20

Hockey Conditioning
Supervisor: Kyle Sandine
Hockey conditioning will keep hockey participants
active off the ice while developing the strength and
agility to improve on the ice. Using plyometric,
cardio and stretching exercises younger players will
develop speed and agility while older players use
resistance training for muscle development. Fitness
is key, and every little bit counts when it comes
to improvement in your game! Appropriate attire
includes t-shirts, shorts and gym shoes.
