34 EARLY CHILDHOOD New! Baby Sign Language Supervisor: Laura Sowers Have you ever wondered what your baby was thinking or why your toddler was crying? This class teaches babies and toddlers simple, easy-to-do gestures for communicating with their parents and caregivers. Through songs and signs this program will give your child a way to communicate with you long before they have mastered their verbal speaking skills, using American Sign Language standards. Min 8/Max 12 Pint Size Sports & Pint Size Sports with Parent Supervisor: Laura Sowers In this class a variety of sports equipment will be used to help your little athlete learn the basic skills needed in any sport: balance, coordination, motor development, and socialization! The fun, easy, and age appropriate activities our staff has planned will engage your child as they develop the motor movement needed in soccer, baseball, basketball, and tennis! This program will take place both indoors and out (weather permitting). Pint Size Sports is for ages 3-5, and Pint Size Sports with Parent requires parent participation in activities and is for ages 2-3. Min 8/Max 18 Social Butterflies and Busy Bees Supervisor: Laura Sowers Each week explore, play, and socialize with your toddler. Songs, games, large motor activities, music, parachute play, blocks, sensory and more will encourage the development of your child's listening, sharing and coordination skills. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Min 8/Max 16 Class does not meet: 4/3 Alphabet Action Supervisor: Laura Sowers Bring in your little learner each week as we use a variety of methods to act out the alphabet. This 45 minute program will provide your child additional exposure to their ABC's, socialization, and fun! Through yoga, song, dance, and art, your child will create connections between letters and movement. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Students participate in weekly group sessions that incorporate games, singing, instruments and FUN into a structured educational setting. Students are introduced to rock and music through activities such as Band Rehearsal, Sound Detectives, and a Weekly Special, where students learn about a new instrument or aspect of music each week! This class will encourage children to love and appreciate music while learning fundamental such as rhythm, beat, and melody, as well as essential skills such as memory building, recognizing patterns, and introductory reading skills. Inspire your child to learn about, plan and love music. Please note the 2-3 year old program requires the accompaniment of an adult!
