No worries . . . no repeats! Re- enrolling in the program will provide new creative opportunities for your child as the instructors plan new projects each session. During this 6-week course, your young artist will use a variety of mediums from cut paper to paint to collage. Each of their masterpieces will be inspired by famous artists like Monet, Picasso, and Kandinsky. Come to class ready to get messy as we create a portfolio of work reflective of our favorite colors, textures, and individual personalities! Clay, Paint & Draw Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Busy hands mean busy minds. Engage in an afternoon of art while exploring the richness of clay and play dough, the power of the paint, and the creativity of the crayon! Different projects will be introduced to your child each week as they begin to create their very first portfolio of work! Min 6/Max 12 EARLY CHILDHOOD Mad Science: Butterflies Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Learn all about the wonderful world of butterflies: where they come from, how they grow, and how they live. This Mad Science class will have you fluttering with excitement as you leave having conducted your own experiment and take home project! Min 10/Max 15 Mad Science: Worms! Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Young Mad Scientists will explore the wiggly squiggly world of worms and learn about how worms eat, move, and work to help make dirt. Children can take home a rubber worm with a viewer or even their own live worms to start composting at home. Min 10/Max 15 New! Nature Tots with Adult Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Using our senses children with be introduced to a variety of concepts and objects that surround us in nature. Children will complete art projects, sing songs, and be immersed in all things nature. Min 8/Max 12 Art Show: Sunday, April 26 5-6:30pm featuring artwork from Winter and Spring Art classes! See your greatest creations on display. PLUS: create your own masterpiece to go! No admission fee - come check out the amazing works created by the PDOP art class students! Stevenson Center, 49 Lake Street Cook with Me Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Spend time with your child messing up someone else's kitchen! In this class you will enjoy mixing, stirring, measuring, and pouring your way to something tasty. Could it be pizza? Could it be pasta? Could it be pineapple pancakes? Whatever it will be, it will be DELICIOUS! Take home a new recipe with you each week. Min 8/Max 12 Tea with M'Lady (Ages 3 and up) Supervisor: Jessica Heim Join us for an old fashioned tea in historic Cheny Mansion and an afternoon of memories with the special lady in your life: your mom, grandma, anyone you please! Wear your Sunday best and be ready to enjoy a delicious lunch, a lesson in tea etiquette, and a fun corsage craft! Two is company, three or more is extra fun! For each additional guest joining you, the fee is Res. $10/Non-Res. $15!
