91 IMPORTANT INFORMATION Keep Our Parks Clean To reduce trash, keep our parks cleaner and increase environmental awareness and stewardship, the Park District has been working with our sports affiliates since 2009 to establish a Carry In/Carry Out Program during all sports events. We simply ask participants and spectators to take out whatever trash they bring into the park. We moved trash receptacles away from the fields and posted signs at the various playing sites. This program was initiated at one site and has grown to all Oak Park Youth Baseball/Softball sites and all AYSO sites. We encourage all of our park patrons to follow the Carry In/Carry Out program. With our kids leading the way we can all be environmentally responsible. Please do your part to keep our parks clean. Advertise with us and expand your reach in Oak Park! Four times per year, the Park District of Oak Park's Program Guide is sent to every residence in Oak Park, totaling over 25,000 Program Guides delivered. The inside back cover and inside ads in varying sizes are available. The Park District also offers sponsorship opportunities for various events and programs throughout the year. Some upcoming opportunities include: • Fitness Fun in the Sun (New Summer Wellness Initiative) • Annual Ice Show (held May 8 -10, see) page 35 • 39th Annual Frank Lloyd Wright Races (held in October) • Fall Fest (September) and WinterFest (January) • First Friday Family Nights and Friday Night Ice for Teens (held the first Friday of each month) • Teen Nights Out and Kids' Nights Out (held monthly) • Senior Programs For information on these and other sponsorship and advertising programs, contact Cate Readling, Sponsorship Coordinator at cate.readling@pdop.org or (708)725-2039.
